Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit Indian actress who is famous for her role in Hum Aapke Hing Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is one of the most popular Indian actors. She started her career in 1980s. The role she played as Anil Kapoor in Tezaab has made her incredibly popular. Then, she starred alongside Aamir as part of Dil. A middle-class family was raised in Mumbai she began learning to dance from a very young age. While still a teenager she attempted acting, but most films she attempted to make were unsuccessful. In the end, she was successful in Indian cinema and rose to the very top. Following her marriage, she took some time to rest from her acting career prior to returning. Recently, she had an integral character in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women living in India. Dixit received 8 Filmfare Awards out of the 15 she was up for nominations. The actress was also honoured with her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Also, she is well known for her charitable works.
